This is the first ever episode of the QuizCast, hosted by HSQBRank's Fred Morlan! This month, I discuss the preseason rankings, both from HSQBRank and the poll on hsquizbowl.org. What were the differences?

I also spend a little time talking about diversity in the game of quiz bowl - honestly, I'm not sure how well I did, but it's on there! Finally, I talk a little about Dwight Kidder's eBook The 99 Critical Shots in Quiz Bowl.

If you enjoyed the show and want to hear more, I'll be doing weekly season updates on my Patreon, which you can find at https://www.patreon.com/hsqbrank. Of course, if you'd like to support me, please do so! You can also find me on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/HSQBRank/ or on Twitter @HSQBRank.

Here's the portion of the conference that centered on the aspect of players, and we got a lot of great insight from the likes of Michael Angelo Sorice, Max Schindler, Eric Mukherjee and Joe Nutter in addition to our previous panelists Eric Huff, Julie Gittings, Michael Laudermith and Nicholas Karas.

Here's the first 50 minutes or so of the PACE Coaches Conference. I was joined by illuminaries like Nicholas Karas, Eric Huff, Julie Gittings, and Michael Laudermith. I think this will be really helpful to anyone helping a team recruit or improve, whether or not you're a coach. Let me know what you think!
